Andre Hugh Sutherland, known professionally and worldwide as Popcaan, is a Jamaican deejay, singer and songwriter from the parish of St. Thomas, born on the 19th of July 1988.

In 2010, after joining Vybz Kartel's Gaza Music Empire 2008, Popcaan released his breakthrough international hit track "Clarks" with Kartel, an ode to the popular shoe brand. In 2014, He also endorsed a deal with Mixpak Records and delivered his debut studio album, "Where We Come From".

Later in 2016, He signed another agreement with Drake's record label OVO Sound and Warner Records. Popcaan, after some few years, dropping hit song and possessing his career, He received the Excellence in Music and Entertainment (EME) Award for Best New Artist, and Collaboration of the Year for "Clarks", which also gained song of the Year (Dancehall).

Popcaan is a talented musician who has featured some American and African top artists, His songs are now still on the platforms making a big wave and getting a lot of view and downloads.
