On this one, Dope Saint Jude calls out, Lana Crowster as they create such a beautiful song "Higher Self" which would be accepted by the fans out there. It was made worldwide in 2022 and was said to be one of the tracks off her new and well-created Extended Play "Higher Self".

This season, after many great and succesful releases, Dope Saint Jude offers another studio Extended Play called "Higher Self", the third studio EP of this amazing singer and rapper. It was released through the French record label, Yotanka.

Higher Self is a remarkable and well-created body of work Extended Play where Dope Saint puts more energy into. According to her explanation for the project...

"Higher Self' is my most introspective EP thus far. I wrote it during the height of the pandemic, having been afforded time to pause and reflect on my life. I had moved to another country, found love and was steadily forging my path in the world. It became necessary to mark this moment. A good friend once told me that making music is like casting spells, and I take that very seriously. I believe that the music I make can define my existence, so it is important to me to make music that is pure and reflective of where I am, where I want to be and where I am going. The EP starts with "War" a track dedicated to the memory of my mother and grandmother. Like many African women, the lives of my mom and grandmother were often marked by sacrifice and suffering. This track is my commitment to break that cycle and do good on the emotional, mental and spiritual investment they made in me".

The Extended Play houses a number of six beautiful and impressive tracks which feature a sole guest appearance from Cape Town female singer, Lana Crowster. The third track "You're Gonna Make it" was featured on the Netflix show, "Inventing Anna", an American drama miniseries created and produced by Shonda Rhimes. Indeed, the project "Higher Self" is really worth listening to where Dope still showcases the high echelon of her music capabilities and genres.
